Dean Fungus Group

GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATIONS (GDPR) LEGITIMATE INTERESTS POLICY NOTICE

In line with the new GDPR, the group gives notice that we intend to ensure the privacy of the data you have given us, under the Regulations’ Legitimate Interests section.
The Group’s Legitimate Interests are to inform members of activities, meetings, and events including broader social benefits to members.
The Group takes your privacy seriously, therefore, we will use the personal information you have given us for the following purposes only:
1. Provide you with notice of meetings, activities, events and information that might be of interest to members.
2. To send out updates and information that is relevant to the membership, in line with our Aims and Objectives.
The Group retains and manages information supplied by members (eg name, address, telephone number and e-mail address). This data will be used in a way that they would reasonably expect and that will not adversely impact on their privacy. We will
therefore protect members rights and interests with regard to their data and this will not be divulged to any third party without their explicit permission.
We will therefore process your data as necessary for the purposes of our Legitimate Interests. We will normally send you information, by digital means, as it is the most appropriate way to achieving our purpose. On occasions we may use the telephone or
post. Due diligence will be applied to ensure individual members rights and interests are proportionate, fully considered and protected.
If any member objects in any way to their data being held by the Group he or she should inform the Group and we will cease processing it forthwith. The Group will review and refresh its “Legitimate Interests Notice”, when there are any changes in
the purpose, nature or context of the processing and we will regularly review the data we hold.

Embedded content from other websites:

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

The Dean Fungus Group does not share with, sell or divulge any personal data to third parties, not does it use that data for marketing or fundraising nor does it hold any information identifying bank accounts.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
